I (B-House) starting taking pictures on a trip to New Zealand in 2005.  I have always enjoyed breathtaking landscapes and always wish I could capture the images on film.  It’s harder than it looks.  We all get lucky sometimes but it isn’t easy to consistently capture great images.  Since that trip, I’ve been reading books at times to learn more and later had to learn to shoot concerts for Proclaim (a unique challenge).  Since returning to Germany, I’ve been doing more sports as well (for our local soccer team, FC Auggen, and a local baseball ministry, the Atomics).  Due to requests, I’ve also started experimenting with portrait photography.  The results have been a bit mixed.  Although I haven’t taken any photography classes, it sure would be fun to try a few.  As we consider what we will do in 2011 (if we will remain on the field or return to the U.S. for the kid’s schooling), it sure would be nice to have a professional skill if a ministry position is tough to find.  To see some samples of photos, please check out the photos section or click here.
