Local Churches
The area that we live in is predominantly Catholic but we did find a Lutheran Church (fairly different from our doctrine but the essentials are the same). Due to a shortage of pastors in Germany our pastor has two churches witht he services (and service times) varying between the two and sometimes a third church. It makes knowing where and when to go to church very difficult! Both of the churches we attend (but the same pastor) are very old churches with one dating back to 1429 (Columbus discovered America in 1492). Below are pictures of both church (Niedereggenen, the older, and Obereggenen, almost as old). In one picture you'll notice parts of a mural on the wall. This was discovered while cleaning and they are patches of it on the walls inside the church. It gives it a and old but cool feel to it.
